Hello everyone!

Today I am going to be talking about my monthly beauty and random favourites of July. Most of the products that I am going to be showing you are 'summery' products that are great for in the sun and look great with a tan. This is because its actually been very hot in England for a change (hot for England anyway), WOW!
Also two weeks ago, I went on holiday with my family to sunny Portugal for a week which was a lovely relaxing break.
One last note, many of my favourites are purchases that I made at IMATS London (which was amaaazing!) back in June, I do apologise for this occurring theme in the products but I really have been loving them!

Beauty Favourites:

Nars multiple duo in Orgasm and South Beach:
This is probably the most summery beauty product I own! Whilst on holiday I used this product everyday because it looks great with a tan, especially South Beach.
They are easy to apply due to them not being overly pigmented, which sounds like not a good thing. However the pigmentation is nice due to it giving the skin a slight glow and colour.
I use Orgasm on the apple of my cheeks either over blusher or just on its own for a natural look, and I use South Beach on my cheekbones and temples.
I picked this product up at IMATS where it was only £12.50! This was a complete bargain due to it costing £33 on the Nars website and in stores. However I did have to deal with the craziness happening at the Nars stand at IMATS, although my patience with the pushing, shoving and waiting of the long queue paid off in the end from the great bargain.

NYC Smooth Skin bronzing face powder in Sunny:
This is a relatively famous product in the makeup world for it being a great product for its tiny price tag. Unfortunately you can only usually find this in America, however when looking through the Factory Shop around Christmas time I found this famous American bronzer for only £2!!!
The Factory shop is described as a 'discounted department store' for those of you that don't know what it is, but lets just say in my opinion it is not your average department store, its quite hard to explain what kind of shop it is! However I love it because of the discounted makeup and the random stuff you find in there.
The sunny bronzer is a matte which is what I prefer in a bronzer, and it is not an orange tone. It would suit most skin tones apart from very fair skin tones.
Bronzers are essential for me in summer and I have been loving this one recently.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti:
Orange is my favourite colour and also one of my favourite colours for my lips. I picked this up summer of last year and wore it on my lips loads last summer many times. So when I saw it in my lip drawer at the beginning of summer I found my love for it again!
I have worn it many times already this summer even when it hasn't been very warm. I particularly loved it on holiday when I had a tan.
These lip butters are quite pigmented for a 'lip butter', they are also moisturising and glossy on the lips.
They currently cost £7.99 at Boots.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yoghurt:
I had heard a lot about these eye shadow pencils on YouTube from the American beauty gurus, so when I saw a NYX stand at IMATS I was very excited to look at there products and see if they had these eye pencils.
NYX had a great range of products at IMATS and I ended up picking up three things; two jumbo eye pencils and a cream blush. The two jumbo eye pencils that I picked up were yoghurt and milk (I was loving the dairy products clearly!).
My favourite out of the two was yoghurt, yoghurt is a pretty pink champagne colour. For those of you that don't know the jumbo eye pencils are basically cream eyeshadow in a pencil.
This colour has great pigmentation and blends easily. However it does crease after a while but it lasts longer if you put a powder eyeshadow on top to set it, I usually use naked lunch by mac to do this.
I picked my jumbo eye pencils up at IMATS for £3.50, however on the NYX website the cost £5.

Crown Brush C158 Angle Liner/Spoolie

I had been looking for a angled brush to do my eyebrows for a while due to my cheap H&M double ended 'smokey eye brush' (which had an angled brush on one end) not really doing it for me anymore. When looking at the Crown Brush stand at IMATS I saw this double ended eyebrow brush and I fell in love! Not only did it have a good quality angled brush it also had a spoolie on the other end, genius! I asked the lady how much is cost and it was only £2.50. Bargain!
I love doing my eyebrows and this brush made it so much easier to do them. The angled brush is not very dense so you don't have to worry about putting on too much powder on your eyebrow at once, and the spoolie is great for blending out the powder after.
You can pick up this brush up on the Crown Brush website for £2.89.

Random Favourites of July:
Portugal-It was such a lovely holiday! I miss it and want to go back there soon.

Monsters University Film- yes I did go and see it, and it was such a great film. Go watch it :)

Ice creams and ice lollies- due to the lovely hot and sunny weather. I particularly love pistachio ice cream, zzapp ice lollies and Ferrero Rocher ice cream. Yummm!

Going to the sea side- its so relaxing and a lovely day out....I sound like a grandma saying that, oh well!

What are your monthly favourites of July? Let me know in the comments below.
Thanks for reading :) x

Welcome to I blog the balm.com! An Introduction

Well hello there!

My name is Amber, I'm 15 and this is my first post on my new blog I blog the balm.com. I thought it would be a good idea to give you all a more in-depth introduction to my blog and who I am.

Firstly about who I am. As I have already mentioned, my name is Amber and I am 15 years old. I am from the UK.

From quite a young age I have always been interested with makeup and beauty. As I have become older I have gained more knowledge about makeup particularly and also beauty. I have gained this knowledge from reading beauty blogs and watching many beauty guru's videos on YouTube.
I have been inspired by the beauty bloggers and vloggers that I have read and watched to do the same as them and share my love of makeup and beauty to people through the internet. I would like to think that I have more knowledge about makeup and beauty than the average teen and therefore would love to share my love of makeup and help other teens out from all over the world.
My dream would be for this blog to be very successful and have many loyal readers and maybe in the future even be a successful beauty guru on YouTube.

Now about this blog. I blog the balm.com is going to be a blog mainly focused on makeup and beauty, however there may sometimes be posts on fashion and maybe even food. I plan to write reviews, monthly favourites, products that I am loving, face of the days, etc.
I plan for my blog I blog the balm.com to be mainly aimed at teens that want to know a bit more about beauty and makeup and share the love for it that I do. Although saying this, this is my main 'target' audience but I would love any makeup and beauty lovers to read my blog.

I hope this introduction has told you a little more about myself and I blog the balm.com. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask in the comments.

Thanks for reading x
